Drug and alcohol testing is an important part of your trucking business when it comes to hiring employees and safe drivers. An effective drug testing program promotes a safe, productive workplace in addition to a multitude of other benefits.

Although carriers are hoping to increase workplace safety and productivity, it's not unheard of for a driver to try to cheat a drug test, which leaves trucking companies vulnerable to increased risk.

At CleanFleet, we have seen cheating at our collection sites, whether it is an out-of-temperature specimen, finding contraptions to help cheat, or even bribes to lie on the forms or provide their own specimen for them. It is not always the employee's "fault" for cheating either. We have heard misguided attempts of employers or managers advising the employee to cheat!

The best way to ensure your business isn't at risk is to make sure your drug and alcohol tests are handled by a reputable drug testing vendor.

Find out more about employee drug testing, how it works, and how to keep your company protected.
