Finding a place to park your rig is a pain. Maybe you're looking for a spot where you won't get hassled, or just getting off the road because you're running out of hours. Or even more important: Trying to find a spot that's safe.

The more time you have to spend looking for a parking spot means that there's less time you can spend hauling freight – you know, the thing that makes money for your business.

How long do you spend each day looking for parking? And let us know in the comments: Has the problem gotten better or worse?

Parking has become more difficult with blogs and major truck stops now extorting driver's in order to park. Unlike many other issues, being forced to pay to park or continue to drive when tired is a serious safety issue. Truck stops should be prohibited from charging truckers to park. If they continue extorting money to park, then they should be held criminally and civilly liable for and accidents involving truckers.

With the prices of fuel and other items, parking SHOULD always be FREE. It's criminal the way the truckers are rip off, by truck stops, mechanics, taxes, regulations, cheap loads, etc.
